Yesterday, the Washington’s post published an article worth reading called Obama vetoes 9/11 bill, likely setting up first congressional override of his presidency.” by Karound Demirjian. This article states that for the first time in his eight years the President of the United States decision may be overpowered by congress. This may happen after Obama vetoed a bill passed by legislation. “The bill would allow families of the victims and survivors of terrorist attack that took place on September 11, 2001  to sue the govermet of Saudis Arabia. Who claims had no connection with the attacks.” Obama’s statement towards congress for not approving the law says  “Enacting [this legislation] into law, however, would neither protect Americans from terrorist attacks nor improve the effectiveness of our response to such attacks.” (Demirjian, k. (2016, September 23). Obama vetoes 9/11 bill. The Washington Post. Retrieved from http.washingtonpost.com) his concern is that this bill could bring many repercussions to the nation. And according to the article he is not the only one concern about the passing of this bill;  several other lawmakers are also concern about the effects this may have. However, the victims of the tragedy are upset by his decision and their hopes now rely on congress to approve the bill;  which is likely to take place next week. This is a very interesting topic since there is a need for justice yet,This could be something that can cause trouble between nations.
